Reopens August 25, 2008 Location Quad 1, Building 1B, Room 111 Service-Learning Center Service-learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility and strengthen communities. More Student Government Students can become actively involved in campus life and shared governance of the college by serving in an Associated Student Government position. The ASG is the representative voice of the students at College of the Canyons. More Student Center The Student Center is the hub of student development, housing a variety of support services such as the cafeteria and dining room, the bookstore, classrooms, the Student Health Center, a computer study lab and a video game arcade. More Student Services Services include photo ID cards, validation stickers, 25 Score discount cards, student support fees and the housing board. More Student Support Fee Information about the student support fee and the services it helps support. More Student Resource Center The Student Resource Center oversees the Cougar Mentor Program, First Year Experience and Student Success seminars. More Clubs & Organizations Information on how to participate in campus clubs and organizations, of which the college currently has about 20, and information on how to start a new club. More Campus Activities & Services Information about activities such as welcome week, student awards ceremony, honor graduate reception and commencement, as well as services such as on-campus postings, classroom bulletin boards and the daily vendor program. More Student Development Transcript Program This program offers students the opportunity to maintain an official record of their involvement in co-curricular activities for the purposes of securing scholarships and admission to four-year universities. More Emerging Leaders Program This program is designed to provide opportunities for College of the Canyons students to develop their leadership skills and techniques through participation in workshops and networking with local leaders in business, industry and local government.
